Santa, are u coming to town?

My parents are off to an out-of-country trip in a couple of months and I'm preparing a list of what pasalubong they should buy for me and my sister... Which reminds me... that during this month, this "ber" month, people, myself included, are starting to set out their shopping list for Christmas. And since humankind is naturally born selfish, the Christmas shopping list goes hand in hand with a list of the things people want to receive for the holiday. This year, I don't feel like making that list. I don't know. I just didn't see it coming. I don't feel it coming. This year, it's like Christmas means bonus, which further means I could quit my job immediately after receiving it.

:-/

There should be a Christmas spirit around here. I'll find you. Just wait.

Uber.

Prologue. (Ang sosyal noh? May ganitong chorva pa akong nalalaman.) Tagal na din pala since my previous entry. Evidently, it's been quite a while since the last time I felt this way. Haha. Ok rin palang may ganito akong entries. At least I could monitor kung kailan ako naghihimutok sa galit dahil sa work. And according to my blog, more than a month din naman akong naging medyo masaya sa buhay dahil Aug. pa noong huli akong masiraan ng bait.

Stress reliever lang, you know. And guess what, it was effective. Maganda naman kasi yung gupit. Hindi tulad noong gupit ko last April na uber disaster that I had to cut my hair myself after I had it cut in the salon. Haha. This time it's nice. I just hope na ganito pa din itsura niya bukas after I take a bath. At least, with this new haircut, nabaling ang galit ko. I felt lighter. Not so brighter. Just lighter. Haha. Makasuot nga din ng ganung shirt.

I am a Fountain

"Be like the fountain that overflows, not like the cistern that merely contains... It was dangerous to overflow, because we might end up flooding areas occupied by our loved ones and drowning them with our love and enthusiasm." --Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides To Die.

But being a cistern is not healthy. Thus, I am a fountain.

Life, with or without a job, is hard.
If you're unemployed, you don''t have money. If you're employed, you run out of money, because you need a lot of things for work. You need shoes. With heels. You need make-up. You need cellphone loads, because your company doesn't subsidize and your bosses ask a lot through texts. And lastly, I need a lot of chocolates to somehow cover the misery in my life that I got out of stress and pressure. I need a lot of serotonin or endorphins from these chocolates that would uplift the status of emotions. I repeat, I need a lot. I know some of my friends are tired of hearing out my unending outcry about hell work and my plan of resigning which I can't push through because of my pathetic excuses. I just need chocolates. And I need a job that doesn't have much people to interfere on your tasks.

Jeepneys

Who said only people have personalities? have stereotypes?
Well, well, well. For four months that I have been paying seven pesos for a jeepney ride to and from work, I have observed that jeepneys have different personalities. Since I've been living in Manila area, the jeepneys I usually take in Manila are different from the jeepneys I take to and from work. I find the Manila jeeps to be tamer. And the jeepneys in Pasig are louder. And are modern and hippies. Why? They have the "pull string to stop" thingy. And they are literally loud. They play hard hiphop and r 'n b music each and every day that they drive down those streets. Whoa. Haha.

TV5 Trade Show

This blog has been stagnant for... hmm.. months? How long has it been?

Anyway, I'm back. Well, at least for now, I have time and will to blab about something. Haha

Last Thursday, my colleague and I had the privilege to be invited to a trade show of a TV network. And so, we attended despite the fact that it was after office work (and we were in office attire) and it ate a part of my time for myself. It was actually good to declair an OT for something like this. Something exciting. Something different from what I do for three whole months.

The event was by TV5. It was like a presentation with what had happened for the past few months and what will happen for the rest of the year. The event basically aimed to attract sponsors for their shows. What's exciting with the event? Of course, the goodies, the food, the drinks and the struck-attack moments! Haha Some actors and actresses present in the event were Ryan Agoncillo, Lucy Torres, Richard Gomez, Victor Basa, Alex Gonzaga, Long Mejia, Jenny Miller, IC Mendoza, Oyo Boy Sotto, Desiree del Valle, Jon Avila and more.

Here is what I can say with our struck-attack moments...
When I saw Lucy Torres, I just felt like I was back in HK Disneyland again. She looked like a Disney princess... just more natural. But she was really pretty and tall, so fit to be a princess.

I'm a free rider

Tila bumabawi ang independence day sa akin. Kasi may free ride sa MRT kanina dahil nga independence day. And what's nice is that I was able to avail it! Woohoo. Haha. Tapos nung nasa platform na ako, waiting for the train, nag-announce over the speaker na tapos na nga daw ang free ride. Ayown, may free ride nga.

I Hate Holidays

Mainly because nabibitin lagi ang work! Consequently, I have to bring home the work, worry about work and use my own resources for work.

Can somebody shoot me in the head?

They say callus is a sign of hardwork. I say, it's just a matter of choosing the right shoes. Gawd, my pinky toes don't just hurt, they are bruised. So now, I hafta change my facebook's status from "____'s pinky toes hurt" to... "____'s pinky toes are bruised."

Sayang

I am currently watching "Dare Duo" on QTV. The dare in this episode for Rovilson and Marc is to be 'captains' of the ferry sailing to Corregidor. I suddenly got jealous with the passengers of the ferry that the duo are handling. One of those passengers could've been me! And I could've seen the Amazing Race duo upclose... I was in that ferry, on that route... just a year ago.

Contests!

:) hahaha

Pay day

Haha.

Chores of a Mktg Assistant

(in order)

Tumulala
Tumulala
Tumulala
Tumulala
Nag-lunch out with the bosses
Tumulala
Nagtype ng konti
Nagcompute at nagbalance ng sales report
Nagcomplete ng forms
Nagbasa ng files and folders nila
Tumulala
Tumulala
At tumulala

Fruits of my Labor

I am not talking about the first paycheck of my first job. I am talking about ciao.com!

I just received the money I earned from my ciao account. This is actually unexpected since ciao.com has been blocking their site in Asian countries for the past few weeks and there are rumors that some accounts are being deleted by the admin. That's why I thought the very first money that I requested will just be gone. But when I checked my email a few minutes ago, I received an alert from paypal about the money sent by ciao.com. Haha What I need to do now is to withdraw the money and send it to my bank account. I just need to figure out how I would do this since this is going to be my first time to use paypal's service. And I actually created a paypal account just for my ciao.com career. Haha

I haven't checked my ciao account. I even lost hope that I could still try to earn some money from it because of the issue/problem I mentioned earlier. But after receiving the money I requested last month, I suddenly got a little piece of hope and would try to log in to ciao's site and continue this career! Haha Well, according to fellow Filipinos who are also into ciao, there's an internet browser that has a European IP address which enables people to enter ciao's site. I'm gonna try that next time! :)

So naki-bible chorva ako until 11am. Tapos I did a little more waiting hanggang sa maglunch time na.

We visited 5 Abenson branches. Observe observe. At commute commute. Nakakapagod. Buti nalang wala pang 3pm tapos na kami. Haha Dumeretso na kaming umuwi... Woops. Haha. But no one's complaining. :)

Did u know?

(Okay, the show's song suddenly played in my head.) Pero when I was in MRT a couple of weeks ago on my way to which I call the "far far away land," sinabi lang ang fact na ito sa MRT radio nila. Just to prevent any additional financial burden, the boy killed the dog. Ayown.

I bet everybody wants that. :)

In need of barangay hall... and officials

One of the requirements for my first job is the Barangay Clearance. I asked the HR personnel if I could submit a barangay clearance from our barangay in our province. It was a stupid question, I guess, since I really don't know what the clearance is for. Anyway, the HR personnel told me that I should submit a clearance from the barangay of the place where I am staying here in Manila since the clearance's purpose is to prove that the address I wrote on the forms I have filled up and submitted to their company is valid.

So this morning, I asked the caretaker of the dorm about the barangay which the dorm belongs to. She told me to ask the vendor outside the dorm since he happens to be a barangay tanod. The baranagay tanod/vendor then told me that there's no barangay hall in the barangay I happen to belong to. But he told where to get a barangay clearance. At sa bahay mismo ng barangay captain.

When I went to the barangay captain's house, wala naman si barangay captain. And someone from his house/barangay hall told me he'll be back by 5 in the afternoon pa. And this is his routine--leaves at 10 in the morning and comes back at 5 in the afternoon--everyday.

Correct me if I am wrong since I don't have much idea on politics, but don't barangay captains have to be physically present in barangay halls (or kung saan mang opisina nila)? Well, at least in our province it works that way. And if the captain is not available, some other tanods or assistants are there to serve. I just find it really weird. And ridiculous.

Mukhang Pera

I am currently reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I've read until chapter two. And while reading the book, I actually thought that I was the one being described when the author was telling in the book about the poor. Mejo swak kasi sa akin yung descriptions, and I feel guilty and, at the same time, sad about my pathetic personality and life. Sabi nga sa book, "it's not how much you make, it's how much you keep." That's so me. At least, being kuripot is not that bad after all. Oha, I am a step closer to being rich. Haha.

I usually highlight the lines from the book that I find significant or just nice. But since I just borrowed the book, I just took note of some of the quotes, which I know I could lose in time. That's why, I am sharing it you guys and maybe remind me of these lines one day.

"My dad used to say, 'if you want something, work for it.' We wanted things, but there was not much work available for 9-year old boys."

"Opportunities come and go. Being able to know when to make quick decisions is an important skill."
(This I really have to learn. Being with a very conservative father, in terms of tradition, values and in business, I have grown to be a very decisive person.)

"Most people want to change everyone else but themselves. Let me tell you, it's easier to change yourself than everyone else."

"Assets put money in your pocket."

"If you find that you have dug yourself into a hole, stop digging."

Nga pala, how much money do I really keep now? The answer... barya na lang ang natira. Hehe. Nagastos ko na kasi yung perang inipon ko all my college life para sa dSLR which I consider to be an investment. Asset, ika nga ni Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I, at least, think of it as one. Sana lang, it would really turn out to be an asset someday.

Earth Hour 2009

It was my first time to participate in Earth Hour. Aba, mahirap yatang magpaypay for one hour noh. Hehe.

Masaya naman siya. Well, natuwa ako sa fact na somehow we're doing something for mother nature. Gusto ko pa nga, as in matagal ko na siyang naisip, na sana kahit two or three hours na bawal magkotse at bike, skateboards, and the like lang ang pwede sa kalsada. But I doubt that that will be possible kasi hindi naman lahat may bike and marunong magbike.

Nga pala, I wonder kung may stars sa Manila last night. Well, stars are rare in the sky in Manila dahil sa pollution. Air pollution. And light pollution. Yes, light pollution, iyan ang sinabi ni Christopher Boone ng Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. And if ever I were there, I couldn't see the sky clearly since isa lang bintana sa dorm and may buildings pa na nakaharang sa view. :)

Ulitin natin ang Earth Hour. By that time, I'll make sure may magandang view ako ng langit para makita ko how the stars will shine on me. Haha.

Jamie, belated happy birthday.

Give and Take

It's called ciao.com.

What is ciao.com? Well, in my own words, para siyang eBay. An online shop, in other words. Pano tayo kikita dito? U have to create an account here in ciao. Tapos me have to make reviews of so many things. Ang wala lang, I guess, are books. Basta you have to search first the product you want to make a review sa search engine nila.

The reviews have to be rated by other members of ciao.com. The pay is based from the rates you get. Haha. So in order to have your reviews rated, kailangan mo ding mag-add ng friends at i-rate ang reviews nila.

It will be sent through paypal. So you have to create an account in paypal also. Haha. And it's been... almost two months already. Huhu.

Anyway, help me earn more. Add me in ciao.com. My username is kantomboy. Add me and rate ALL my reviews. Rate my reviews and I'll rate yours too. Please. Please.

New Wishes

>.< Anyway, about my new wishes... I want a baking oven! Yes. The baking oven tops the list. And I want it more than a job. Haha. And I became very determined about it when I was eating Lemon Square chessecakes yesterday. Haha.

Bath Time

I bathed a dog this morning. Since she has brown spots over her white fur, she was named Polka. I actually gave the name. Haha. So I guess I was trying to give a unique name instead of naming her Spot. Musmos pa ako noon. Kaya medyo jologs pa ang thinking ko. Haha.

Here is a photo of Polka taken last January. This picture was edited.

In real life, her fur is much grayer than in the picture, so I decided to be an angel sent from above and give her a bath.

Polka is a really nice dog. I didn't have a hard time dragging her to the faucet like I had with some other dogs. I didn't drag her at all. I just called her and grabbed her collar and she eagerly walked with me to the faucet. After the bath, she shook her body, ran around as if she's in a race, rolled over the floor and got dirty again.

It's ok. My efforts were not wasted, because I know at least I have washed the oil/grease stains on her fur that she got from the leak of the car and she's still much dirtier without a bath.

But that's not all, after the bath, she doesn't want to go near me anymore. And when I call her, she runs away from me and to her cage where she'll be safe and no one could drag her out. Besides, she's a fat ass dog.

My Motivation

Remember when I said na parang ayoko na magwork? I meant that. Pero ngayon, now that summer has started, parang kailangan ko nang magwork. Yes, the motivation is more like a chore. Majo napipilitan lang ako. Haha.

Summer na, mga tsong. Ang init! At dahil mainit, I think it's better for me to stay in Manila and have a work. Tingin ko lang kasi, sa Manila I have to wake up early and leave for work early habang hindi pa masyadong mataas ang araw at mainit. Tapos I will be staying whole day in the office at magpapalamig sa aircon. Tapos pag uwian na, most likely wala nang araw so hindi na mainit masyado. Hahaha. I could not stay at home whole day din naman. Of course, I have to help out in our business. Haha. Going back to my explanation, lousy explanation, mga lunch time na ako lulmalabas ng bahay papunta store. Malamang! So there, I'd spent the whole afternoon sweating and feeling icky. Parang ayoko ng ganun.

So Summer, thank you?

Lotto Tips

Hehe.

I got it from an ad here in my site. You can check the ads at the bottom or top or right side of my blog. In that site, you have to put in your name and birthday in order to generate numbers for lotto. I did bet last Thursday the numbers I got from that site. Only one number from my combination was drawn. Haha.

Maybe I just lacked prayers or other aspect of luck. Or maybe my stars were not aligned yesterday. Or whatever. Hahaha. Try the site!

Still poor

Okay, hindi pa ako millionaire. Siguro after a couple of draws pa ako magiging millionaire. Hahaha. The spirit, oha.

Anyway, kanina sa lotto-han, medyo mahaba naman ang pila pero hindi pa iyong to the highest level gaya nang ipinakita kanina sa news--which was in a lotto outlet in Kamuning.

Meron siyang dalang kodigo na may eleven sets of number combination! I don't how long it took him to finally leave the table and line up for the cashier, dahil pumila na ako't nagbayad, hindi pa rin siya tapos.

I'm the next millionaire

Isa pa ito sa mga raket ko. Hehe.

It's my third time to bet for the hundreds of million-peso jackpot of 6/49 lotto today. On the first time, I got three of my numbers which entitled me to a "balik-taya" or a free bet. Iyon ang second time. Ngayon naman, on my home, napadaan ako sa isang lotto outlet which reminded me that today's a Tuesday, which meant it's another 6/49 lotto day. Kaya ayon. Iyon ang third time.

Ayan, magdrdraw na. I'll say goodbye for now. Hinihintay na ako ng milyones ko. :)

Juan Tamad

Shet. Tinatamad na ako. Hahaha. Yup, tinatamad na akong magtrabaho. Parang gusto ko na lang mag-bum all my life. I think this waiting is too long kaya siguro ako naging ganito. I was very eager to work and embrace the corporate world, but then, it's been two months at wala pa rin akong trabaho. Ayun, nawili tuloy ako sa bum life.

Hahaha.

Anyway, may pinagkakaabalahan naman ako. Bagong raket. Secret ko muna ito. I'll spill it out 'pag guaranteed na siya.

from +639155272923:

"Hon d2 ka mag reply load mo ako 150pesos"

at ang sagot ko:

"Sori hon.

Eh normal cell number yung lumabas, hindi yung tipong three o four-digit cell number. Meron pa ngang nakalagay na name kung sino kokontakin at take note, lawyer pa daw siya kasi may "Atty." eh. I actually saved it for months in my phone. Yun nga lang, wala akong masyadong will. Haha. Kaya naging wala-lang siya.

Raket Alert!

What am I up to recently?

Kaya nakakatuwa talaga. Hahaha.

Natutuwa pa rin ako until now. Since sa Ortigas area yung office ng pinag-FGD namin, napadaan na din kami--I was with a friend--sa Shang para gastusin yung GC. I only spent the P200 of the GC. At ang literal na fruits of my labor ay lanzones, ferrero, eaji chips and half kilo penne pasta. Ayoko kasi gastusin lahat. Hahaha. I mean, yung mahal na gamit talaga. Hahaha.

Gusto mo rin bang sumama? Hayaan mo, pag may FGD ulit, I'll post it here! Tapos you can leave your contact number na ibibigay ko doon sa agent at reyna ng mga FGDs. Since the comments you'll leave need to be moderated first, hindi ko na lang ipupublish yung comments niyo with your contact numbers para hindi dumami ang txtm8s niyo. Hahaha. So, I'm totally not interested, okay? Hahaha.

Share your blessings, ika nga nila.

Short Time Lang

I went there and filled up the form they gave me. Tapos diretso na sa interview with Alex.

Amongst the interviews that I had, ito na siguro yung pinakagusto ko so far. Ang bait ni Alex. Although other interviewers were also as nice as her, iba ang dating noong si Alex ang kaharap ko. And although she said that my qualifications are more inclined to the position of Local Store Specialist than any marketing position and that the former is not yet vacant, itong interview pa rin ang best so far. Siguro kasi hindi ako pumiyok. Haha. This time, napigilan ko! Hurray!

Gusto ko rin palang sabihing hindi ako nagsisisi at napunta ako sa account department nung nag-OJT ako kahit na naasar ako sa desludging assignment namin at kahit na nakakaasar din yung immediate boss namin. Kasi yung mga work routines namin yung pwede kong ipagmalaki sa interviews. And actually, nabibilib din mga interviewers kahit papaano. Nabibilib sila in a way na nakikitaan nila ako ng connection sa mga positions na inaapplyan ko... yung tipong naiisip nila na may silbi ako kahit papaano sa kompanya nila. Haha.

Pegasus

Sabi ng friend ko, "If you want a cat, ask for a horse." (Ganito lang yan: Kung gusto mo ng good, you ask or aim for the best. Para at the end of the day at hindi mo man makuha yung best, at least meron kang better.)

Sabi niya, effective daw yan.

As we all know, it's really a big company. Gusto ko mang magpilosopo at sabihin, "It's ok. I don't want a cat, so I won't need a horse," alam kong hindi nakakatawa. :(

Aja to me!

The March

Of course, I used hairpins to solve my issue with my graduation cap. Hahaha.

~~~
The graduation, according to the blue paper I got from the accounting office after paying the application to graduate fee, was set to start at nine o'clock in the morning yesterday. I left my dorm in Taft Avenue before 8am thinking that it'll be traffic going to PICC. In the middle of the drive, I remembered something I should've remembered earlier. I left my sash, or that thing you put over the toga gown. Hahaha. So there, I asked the driver to drive back to dorm. I was still cool. But when I received the text from a friend who said that the march is going to start when it's still eight in the morning, I begun to panic and thought that I didn't read clearly the instructions.
While in the car, I tried to think that there's nothing left to do, but just to miss the march and go straight to my seat once I arrive. But honestly, part of me was still hoping I could still catch the march somehow. When I entered PICC, my eyes were desperately looking for someone, anyone in toga. There were few people in the lobby, but alas, there's at least one person in toga. I was not alone. Even if we're really late, at least I was not alone. Hahaha.
The good thing was... I didn't miss the march. Yeah! And I wasn't wrong that the graduation was really set to start at nine.
The graduation wasn't as boring as I expected. It wasn't as long as it should be. It ended an hour and a half earlier than the estimated end time of one o'clock in the afternoon. And people were able to feed their growling tummies an hour and a half earlier!
Take a bow
Hola, I am finally marching tomorrow at PICC!
Oh well, I don't have any award actually to give to my parents. And believe it or not, I somehow feel sad about it. To some extent, I regret it, 'cause I know that I didn't even try to give my best. :[ But I hope that the fact that they will no longer pay for any tuition would at least lift their spirits up. Hahaha.
Anyway, I need to practice my bow for tomorrow. The bow I had this afternoon for our college's recognition rites in school was... no comment. I just have some issues with my cap. Actually the issue is more on my head. I'm a cone head. As in there's a peak at the top part of my head. And the cap's a bit loose. And the solution that I am thinking is... drum roll please... hairpin! A lot of them, maybe.
Or glue. Yes, it might work even better.
Capture Moments
This is totally unexpected. You see, I was given a graduation gift by a friend. It's just something I don't really anticipate. It's so not in my vocabulary, that's why. Haha. But hey, no one's complaining!
Anyway, I got a DSLR! Yes. It's a DSLR--just a smaller one... even smaller than a digicam. Haha. Well, my very first friend in La Salle gave me a
miniature DLSR bling-bling. As you can see in the picture, it doesn't really bling or shine or sparkle, but it works just the same. Hahaha. I love it. And just for a couple of weeks maybe, I will be losing all the savings I had my entire college life to get this baby a mother.
*I apologize for the out-of-focused picture. The camera phone I used for this picture is just hard to manage. Haha
Signed, Sealed, Delivered
When I left for Manila last Monday, my prize from ChristianPF.com was delivered! It was a three-piece spatula/scraper set from Pampered Chef.
Now, all I need is an oven.
Too Much To Ask
Just one more day and the whole Chinese community will be celebrating the Year of the Ox, which, I heard on TV, will bring luck to those who are under the Dragon zodiac sign. Count me in!
Actually, even when the year of the Ox hasn't arrived yet, I can already feel the luck on my side! Haha. Woops, I apologize for the exaggeration. Well, it's just that I received an invitation for a job interview for the first time. But I'm not really excited as what my writing seems to imply. The company that responded to my application a couple of days ago is located in Pasig! Just one of the places I never planned to work in. It's quite far for me. And I really find it inconvenient to go to. And I don't imagine myself renting a place there to ease the hassle of commuting. The place just makes me feel like I'm in another world.
In case this company is going to buy me, I'm not really sure that I'm going to let myself be sold. And even when I already know someone there--my old roommate--who's going to be a sure bud, I am still not very confident. And even when the recession is said to worsen as time goes by and that the company looks really desperate to fill in the positions recently left by a bunch of old employees, I will still need a lot of thinking... Unless it doesn't have contract or bond of at least 6 months, meaning I can go anytime I want to and that I can still have hmmm a week of absences (is that what you call it?) and that I could prolong my palamunin days and opt to start work (if ever) on the second half of Feb... That's when I'll have myself be sold.
Haha. Gawd, I'm asking too much, I know.
Grade School Lesson
It's not just your civil status that can be described as complicated, because English grammar is just another case of "It's complicated."
English is not an everything-I-need-to-learn-I-learned-in-kindergarten thing. So even when we were taught in grade school and high school the correct English grammar and that not all words need an additional "s" at the end or a change "y" to "ies" to be in plural form, we still tend to say
stuffs like baggages, luggages, evidences, jewelries and equipments.
Early this week, I read a Philippine Star article about top 5 annoying Pinoy expressions which included grammatical errors I have mentioned in the preceding paragraph. Yes, those words I italicized are said to be common mistakes of pluralizing words. If I weren't taught in college that words
stuffs and equipments don't require "s" at the end to be in plural form, I guess I didn't understand the author of the article's sarcasm at all when he wrote, "Stuffs, equipments, jewelries, evidences, baggages, luggages. Who said we didn't know our grammar? Add 's' to form plural, right?"
Obviously, the other words mentioned by the author are new to me. When I looked them up in the dictionary online, it shows that there are no such words as jewelries, baggages and baggages. But when I typed in evidences, I was directed to the page of "evidence," meaning that it actually accepts the word with "s" at at the end. But, of course, I needed to double check it in other sources. I googled it and found a much reliable source which helped me clear the confusion.
So, "common uncountable nouns" is what you call them. That helped me remember a grade school lesson.
See ho complicated English is? If I didn't know these, then there is a great chance I'll be saying something like this, "Those luggages and baggages contain some stuffs, that will serve as evidences that I came from abroad, such as Japan-made equipments and jewelries.
No batteries needed.
If Mariah Carey has this shinning-shimmering-splendid microphone and a shinning-shimmering-splendid microphone stand (right) that she uses wherever she performs, Raymond Marasigan has Echo Mic.
Echo Mic, which debuted in Pedicab's new video entitled FX (below), is just one of the toys my fellow interns and I bought as a prize for the Halloween Party of the ad agency where we had our internship. Amongst the prizes, I like the Power Puff Girls (PPG) Echo Mic best. It's not the typical toy microphone that just made to be some sort of a mock up. This one's useful... and doesn't require battery nor electricity. It can actually make voices... louder. Haha. As you have guessed, it echos. Hehe.
If I get lucky when I visit a Toy Kingdom and PPG Echo Mic is still being sold, I might buy one for my own. Why not? Its tag will most likely say "for 3 years and up." Besides, Raymond Marasigan has one.
Missing Manila
Hola, Amigos! I know it's been quite a while and that I wasn't even able to greet you a happy new 2009. Calm down people, I'm not holding my first entry for this year any longer, 'cause here it goes!
As most of you know, I left Manila on December 8 to face the fact that I'm done with school and that I'm actually, officially an additional burden to this country's unemployment predicament. In effect, I have been, aside from submitting job applications online, joining online contests! So you see, I'm not totally loafing or idle. Besides, I am spending time writing this blog entry. Oh well, I guess this is what you do when you have nothing to do. I remember a cousin who's also into joining contests on the radio when she was unemployed. So it's not just me, people! But I couldn't really conclude that it runs in the blood. Haha. Do you want to know the fruits of this precious labor, if there is any? Remember my last post? Well, that one's an entry to an online contest. And guess what? I actually got something out of it! It's the Silicon Scrapers from Pampered Chef. I haven't gotten the prize yet. And since I think the host or the sponsor of the contest is US-based or somewhere else in this universe, it'll take a long time for me to receive my prize, or worse, might not even be delivered to me. I don't know. I hope not.
Moreover, a friend confessed to me last week that she missed her movie buddy, which happened to be me. And honestly, I miss her too, and our routine of watching movies together, but I miss the cinemas in Manila more. Hehe. Gawd... It's just one thing that I desperately want right now. I want to watch a movie. I want to watch "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," but unfortunately it's still not showing in our province. I want to watch in a cinema with a comfortable chair, with a nice sound system and one that doesn't smell. Oh I suddenly thought of something! An SM is built and is already open in our province, particularly in Carmen, Rosales, a town that's more than an hour away from our city. I'm wondering if it has cinema that shows movies the same time as movies are shown in Manila ('cos we're usually behind the "normal" opening). Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed that I could watch movies like Brad Pitt's or Kate Hudson & Anne Hathaway's Bride Wars or a Zac Efron's Seventeen Again, which is totally a Vanessa Hudgens-free one (How'd you like that? Anything that doesn't have Vanessa Hudgens is a love, I should say.).
